[postfix-jp:02718] debianへのpostfixのinstallについて

みなさん、こんばんわ

斉藤＠KSCともうします。

このたび、debain3.0(woody)にpostfix2.0.7 をBerkeleyDB4.1.25を使いinstall
し、使用したいと思っております。

ところが、上記ソフトウェアを下記のような手順でinstallし、とりあえずの
postifx起動の為の最低限の設定を行い、"postfix start"と起動してみたのです
が、postfixを起動することは出来ませんでした。

システムにerrorログが出力されているか確認をしてみたのですがerrorらしいロ
グは記録されていませんでした。
もしかすると私の手順に問題があるかもしれませんので、識者の皆様おかしなと
ころがございましたら、ご指摘頂けませんでしょうか

[postfix install手順]
１．BerkeleyDB4.1.25のinstall
　　・www.sleepycat.comよりsource(db-4.1.25.tar.gz)をDL
　　・db-4.1.25.tar.gzを解凍・伸張
　　・db-4.1.25/build_unix/に移動
　　・../dist/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-shared=yes　を実行
　　・make　を実行
　　・make install　を実行

２．postfix 2.0.7のinstall
　　・ringサーバーよりpostfix-2.0.7.tar.gzをDL
　　・postfix-2.0.7.tar.gzを解凍・伸張
　　・postfix-2.0.7に移動
　　・make tidy を実行
　　・make makefiles CCARGS="-DHAS_DB -I/usr/include" AUXLIBS="-L/usr/lib -ldb" 
　　　を実行
　　・make を実行
　　・make install　を実行

３．/etc/postfix/main.cfの最低限の設定(postconf -nの結果)
　　alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases
　　alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases
　　command_directory = /usr/sbin
　　config_directory = /etc/postfix
　　daemon_directory = /usr/libexec/postfix
　　debug_peer_level = 2
　　home_mailbox = Maildir/
　　mail_owner = postfix
　　mail_spool_directory = /var/spool/mail
　　mailq_path = /usr/bin/mailq
　　manpage_directory = /usr/local/man
　　mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain $mydomain
　　mydomain = home.com
　　myhostname = mail.home.com
　　mynetworks = 192.168.174.0/24, 127.0.0.0/8
　　mynetworks_style = subnet
　　myorigin = $mydomain
　　newaliases_path = /usr/bin/newaliases
　　queue_directory = /var/spool/postfix
　　readme_directory = no
　　sample_directory = /etc/postfix
　　sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail
